I finally forced myself to do a long run on the damn treadmill! It wasn't really by choice. I have a race in two weeks and I have to get those miles. I had planned on a 10 mile run but since it rained, I wasn't about to push more than 7 miles on the dreadmill. Thanks to Underground Fitness for allowing me to chug chug my way on one of their machines. I started off strong and kept the momentum all the way through till I reached my goal. Many hours later and I feel great. I have been foam rolling my quads and calves every now and then which have helped a great deal. I hope it doesn't rain tomorrow. I don't believe my boot camp gym is open tomorrow. So if it rains, I'll just take a day off from running and work out on the Total Gym. I'll reschedule a long run on Monday morning.
Thanks to the rain, I've canceled all engagements for this evening. I'm in my sweats and ready to chill and watch a few movies. Hot Coconut Mango tea and snack are waiting for me --- Yum!
