I am thrilled to share that I ran over 80 miles during the month of February. My pace has improved a bit and my endurance seems to be on the upswing. Running and weight loss has taught me that I'm capable of reaching goals regardless of my age. I never actually thought that I would be running this many miles per week or per month. For the past few weeks, I've been fighting the blahs with my running. It's as though I know I need to run to reach my goals but getting out the door has been completely difficult. Once I'm out the door, bitching, and actually on a run, I seem to be calm by Mile 2.
It serves as a reminder that nothing comes easy. You can dream or do. The month of March will keep me on my toes as I am entered in various races. I'm not out to compete against others but with myself. Hardest thing about running more miles is that I've realized the hard way I need to eat more - and more of the healthy foods my body needs. Tomorrow brings on a new month and hopefully many great moments to share.
