After Saturday's evening race, The Night Run 8K, my body was ready to enjoy a few days off. That was one of the toughest races I've completed in a while. The course wasn't bad but it had been a while since I ran in the late evening. I made the mistake of running 3 miles early Saturday morning and by evening time, I was completely drained. I'm quite happy with my Time of 51:10.
I was so looking forward to my morning run today. My goal was to run an easy 6 miles. Body didn't want to cooperate and only ran 3.60 miles. I didn't want to push it so I cut it short and returned home to enjoy my coffee. I am back on track with my nutrition but could tell that I'm still not at peak performance. I can tell the difference now that I fell off the wagon. That's OK. I've learned a lesson. This whole fitness and nutrition change is all about Lifestyle and not a diet fad of the week. So I'm looking forward to setting new goals and meeting new challenges. We can do this!
